Requesting for Teacher’s License

1. Do you have a Professional Teacher License?

  1. If you do have, you can skip this stage and continue to School Teacher License.
  2. If you do not have please follow the further details.

2. Apply for Professional Teacher License in case you already have one year experience and have Thai culture training certificate.

This process will be responsible by teacher / IDEAL with teacher’s expense of 500 baht.

Required documents:

  1. The Teachers Council of Thailand Application Form (KS. 10) signed by teacher and school director.
  2. Letter from school to Ministry of Education signed by school director
  3. A copy of permission letter of establishing the school signed by school director
  4. A copy of Thai Culture Training certificate with teacher ‘s signature
  5. A copy of Thai Contract with teacher ‘s signature
  6. A copy of passport (with Non-B visa) with teacher ‘s signature
  7. A copy of degree with teacher’s signature
  8. A copy of transcript with teacher’s signature
  9. A copy of Degree verification letter from university with teacher’s signature
  10. A copy of TEFL certificate (only if applicable)
  11. A copy of English proficiency test with teacher’s signature (TOEIC Test for non-native speakers)
  12. A copy of Affidavit with teacher’s signature (only if applicable)
  13. A copy of documents from previous school i.e. Reference Letter of Employment (with details: work as English teacher, the level of students, teaching period), work permit, temporary teacher license with teacher’s signature (only if applicable)
  14. 1 photo, 1” x 1.5” (2.5cm x 3cm)
After submitting the above documents to Ministry of Education, you will receive the register confirmation document from Ministry of Education on applied date and you will use this document until the Professional Teacher License Card has been issued.

3. Requesting for Temporary Teacher license

This process will be responsible by IDEAL

Required documents:

  1. The Teachers Council of Thailand Application Form (KS. 10) signed by teacher and school director.
  2. Letter from school to Ministry of Education signed by school director
  3. A copy of Thai Culture Training certificate with teacher ‘s signature (only if applicable)
  4. A copy of Thai Contract with teacher ‘s signature
  5. A copy of passport (with Non-B visa) with teacher ‘s signature
  6. A copy of degree with teacher’s signature
  7. A copy of transcript with teacher’s signature
  8. A copy of Degree verification letter from university with teacher’s signature
  9. A copy of TEFL certificate with teacher’s signature (only if applicable)
  10. A copy of English proficiency test with teacher’s signature (TOEIC Test for non-native speakers)
  11. A copy of Affidavit with teacher’s signature (only if applicable)
  12. 1 photo, 1” x 1.5” (2.5cm x 3cm)

4. School Teacher License

Issue the School Teacher License after receive the Temporary Teacher License/the register confirmation document from Ministry of Education.

Required documents:

  1. Thai Contract
  2. School Teacher License stated accordingly to the contract period (1 week preparation period).
